Ballet Edmonton is our city’s contemporary ballet company, and Odvod Media has supported the art of movement for over a decade.
Ballet Edmonton was originally known as Citie Ballet, but the board of directors wanted the name of the company to have a more direct connection to its city of residence. After all, the art was being created, rehearsed and presented in Edmonton.
With the new name, Ballet Edmonton, came a new brand. Starting with brand values and moving to the creation of the visual identity, Odvod Media worked with the board, executive director and artistic director, to fully realize the visual brand.
Art is an experience – so too is a brand. Just as Ballet Edmonton pushes the boundaries of ballet, the brand needed to expand the notion of how a ballet brand is expressed and yet work within the boundaries of print and digital communication.
