No Country for Old Man Winter

Ah, spring. A time of year filled with hope, clichés (including one about young men’s fancies that doesn’t really make much sense) and, well, often snow.

It’s also a great time to get back outside and get active. After all, Alberta has the most diverse landscape in North America, so right now is a great time to take advantage of it. There are few places as beautiful as our province in spring, even when it’s snowing.

In fact, we just launched a website for our friends at Skadi Wilderness Adventures. They offer all sorts of outdoor adventures in the Rockies, even if you just feel like taking it easy and taking in the magnificent views.

If you don’t make it out of the city, you can still enjoy the awesome trails and parks peppered throughout Edmonton. You even have the choice of getting muddy or staying clean, thanks to the abundance of paved paths (I usually choose getting muddy).

So hop on your bike, Velcro up your runners or lean stoically on your Segway and get out and enjoy the slightly above-zero temperatures.

Just be sure your dog wipes her paws before she hugs you. Same goes for your kids.
