Another Terrific Night of Here’s Nina

Odvodians broke bread, drank wine, played a round of musical chairs and then stood-up at the Here’s Nina event. Why? Because we support the ability of those with disability to create art. Congratulations to the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts (The Nina — pronounced nine-ah) for another amazing evening.

Now in it’s second year, Here’s Nina! is a night that celebrates and supports all of the incredible talent that flows out of this inspiring organization. For those unaware, The Nina is a place where individuals with developmental disabilities are given the opportunity to express themselves through art.

The evening was packed with great food (courtesy of the Italian Cultural Centre of Edmonton), incredible artwork, jazzy music and hilarious guests. Hosted by CTV News Edmonton, Josh Classen, he was joined on stage by Edmonton’s own Sheri Somerville, Stewart Lemoine and the cast from “That’s Terrific”. The evening wrapped with a live auction, and the opportunity for guests to stand-up to support the Nina by sponsoring an artist.

Odvod Media is one of more than 30 sponsors and countless contributors who helped raise money so everyone, no matter the disability, can express themselves through art.

After all, as they say at The Nina, “Great things happen when you give a person freedom of expression.”
